Mr. Nicolae Pascu, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director
- Fund Manager of STK Emergent;
- 10 years of experience in the stock market, 5 of which as Head of Corporate Transactions and member of the Risk Committee of investment firm BROKER CLUJ (where he consistently delivered above market average returns for clients? portfolios and for the house account);
- Holds a BS in Banking and Capital Markets from The School of Business in Cluj-Napoca (1998) and an MS in Statistics (Quantitative Business) from the same school, in collaboration with Universit? d'Orl?ans (1999).
Prof. Dr. Dumitru Matis, Ph.D., Board Member
- Professor of Finance and Dean of The School of Business, Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca;
- Certified Financial Auditor, with extensive experience in the auditing of domestic and international financing projects;
- Chartered Accountant, including speciality in I.A.S., and Association of Chartered Accountants? lecturer in Financial Audit Issues and Financial Reporting Standards;
- Lecturer within the Certified European Internal Audit Manager Programme ? Financial Audit Unit;
- Member of Chamber of Financial Auditors in Romania (C.A.F.R.) and High Council for Accounting and Financial Reporting;
- Member of Financial and Accounting Committee of National Council for Diplomas, Degrees and University Certificate Endorsement (C.N.A.T.D.C.U.).
Mr. Michael Bulzan, Board Member
- Co-owner and General Manager of GRUP WEST, a Romanian holding company with a diverse portfolio of companies operating in the fields of automotive retail, lease financing, insurance brokerage, creative advertising and management consulting;
- Prior work experience in Operations Management with Avaya, Inc. (New York and London), in Finance with General Motors (Detroit);
- Holds an MBA from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina (2003), and a BS in International Business from the Western University in Timisoara, Romania (1998).
Department of Research and Investment Opportunities
- Defines strategies for the selection and management of portfolios;
- Tracks the dynamics of the national economy and various industrial sectors;
- Assesses the investment opportunities and the associated risks;
- Monitors daily changes on the Romanian stock market and on the international capital markets; the daily analysis of stocks and indexes is based on both the fundamental and the technical techniques;
- Makes adjustments to the structure of the fund portfolio.
Mr. Marius Muresan, Head of Research and Investment Department
- Fund Manager of STK Emergent;
- First Level with the CFA Institute;
- 7 years of experience in the banking sector (credit risk analysis for Raiffeisen Bank and ABN AMRO Bank), in addition to the past 4 years with STK Financial;
- High degree of competence in applying statistical analysis in the assessment of investment opportunities;
- Holds a BS in Banking and Capital Markets from The School of Business in Cluj-Napoca (1998) and an MS in Statistics (Quantitative Bu siness) from the same school, in collaboration with Universit? d'Orl?ans (1999)
